The partiotics

In World War II, a General called his regiment. He wanted to send some men on a dangerous assignment. He ordered, “Those who want to go on the dangerous task, move 2 places forward”.

Suddenly a wireless message came. When the General came back, he saw everybody standing in a row. He called them coward and unpatriotic.

In his fury, he had forgotten to notice that the whole regiment had moved 2 placed forward.

Haircut

A man accompanied by a small boy enters a barbershop and asks for a haircut. The man says, “I might just pop next door for a beer while you cut the kid’s hair.” The barber gives the boy a haircut, and then-after waiting a quite some time for the man to return-turns to the kid and asks, “Where on earth has your father gone to?”

“That’s not my father,” says the boy. “He’s just some guy who stopped me in the street and asked if I’d like a free haircut.”

The Law of life

After potatoes have been harvested they have to be spread out and sorted out in order to get the maximum market dollar. They are divided according to size – big , medium and small. It is only after potatoes have been sorted and bagged that they are loaded on to trucks. This is the method that all potatoes farmers use.

But one farmer never bothered to sort the potatoes at all. Yet he seemed to be making most money. a puzzled neighbour finally asked him, “What is your secret?” He said, “Its simple I just loaded up the wagon with potatoes and take the roughest road to town. During the eight mile trip, the little potatoes always fall to the bottom. The medium potatoes land in the middle, while the big potatoes rise to the top.”

That is not only true with potatoes. It is Law of life. Big potatoes rise to the top on the rough roads and tough people rise to the top in rough times.

Grace at Meals

A farmer who was loyal church going christian was spending the day in a large city. He entered a restaurant and sat down at a table near a group of young men of the world. When his meal was severed, he quietly bowed his head and said “grace”.

One of the young show offs thought he’d have some fun with the farmer and he said in aloud voice, “Hey, pop, does everyone do that where you come from?” The old man looked at him and replied, “No, son, the pigs don’t.”
